Jonathan Hardy (Herb Recordings)
After a brief break, we are back with some more Herbtastic mp3's, this time in the shape of the Nottingham, UK based Jonathan Hardy. Hardy makes progressive downtempo chillout music that recalls those Scandinavians Royksopp.
Combining "subtle fusions of electronic beats over ambient progressions", is the order of the day on his recently released ep "Works For Me", which can be obtained here. His "engaiging soundscapes" are influenced by a whole host of differing artists (Four Tet, Nathan Fake, Craig Armstrong and even Mogwai).
But anyone who lists Tangerine Dream as one of their major influences is alright by me.
